Ministry Teams Ministry Teams are how you can move from just "attending" The Journey, to being an active participant in ministry. 		Prayer Team - Taps Murove tmurove@gmail.com Prayer is one of the simplest and fulfilling spiritual discipline. This team serves as a network to collect and distribute prayer needs in our community. Also, they provide resources such as: printed guides and special prayer nights to help us all grow into having an enriching prayer life. Also, you can send any prayer requests directly to prayer@explorethejourney.org and the prayer team will be praying for you each day.

		City Missions - Leslee Foukal l.foukal@gmail.com Often times, our tendency is to move away from need and suffering. However, Jesus calls us to move towards it. To embrace those around us with the love of God that embraces us. This team inspires The Journey to have a "city view" of mission and ministry. They coordinate ministry opportunities with existing ministries and work towards developing new ones as the need arises. Connecting with this team is a great way to start serving, loving, and ministering to others.

		Global Missions - Ashley Krason asht123@gmail.com The global aspect of this team works to simply connect our church to global missions by organizing short-term mission teams, networking with Journey members who are doing ministry around the world, and helping everyone learn to minister to internationals living among us. This team inspires The Journey to have a "global view" of mission and ministry.

		Creative Team - Adie Smith adriannesmith@belhaven.edu The Journey is home is many creative people. This team provides an outlet for those in our community who are writers, musicians, and artists of all sorts. We call on this team to design worship services or creative experiences at The Journey and in our community. Look for this team to create artist networks through singer/songwriter nights, art shows, poetry readings, and artist forums.

		Journey Kids Ministry Team - Sam & Cheri Self sam@explorethejourney.org This team ministers specifically to kids in providing quality and age-appropriate ministry. However, the presence of kids reminds us that Jesus calls us all towards child-likeness. So for the benefit of both kids and the "grown-ups" we seek for ways to incorporate journey kids into the mainstream of the The Journey.

Minda (PIC COMING) Bobby		Care Team - Minda Anthony & Bobby Stephenson holligolitly@gmail.com & bstephenson@wilkins-law.com This team helps our pastor in ministering to people at The Journey, though counsel, prayer, visits, and assistance. This team seeks to stay connected with everyone at The Journey and invites us all to share our needs so the community can respond.

		Social Responsibility Team - Our simple daily choices have a great impact. Often, the impact is negative and effects the poorest and the vulnerable in our society. This team inspires us all make educated choices concerning: where we shop, how we shop, how we consume, how we waste, and more. So whether the issues are political, environmental, or social, this team is a beautiful resource for The Journey.

		Special Events Team - Megan Harwell meganharwell@comcast.net In addition to weekly worship and small groups, we create events in our community. These special events require extra organizing and administration, and that's where this team comes in. If you like recruiting volunteers and organizing, this team is a great place for you to serve.

		Communications - Shaunti Dennis shaunti@explorethejourney.org This team handles all our communication; including: printed newsletters, mailings, signs, advertising. This is a great team for graphic designers, web designers, and people who love to communicate.
